An interview with Spit!

Spit is a fresh Romanian band reprezenting “Vasile Alecsandri” National College. They officially started their activity on 23^rd of March 2011 and it seems like the Spit guys have a lot of surprises to show us and the top of it might come out somewhere during the summer of 2012. Interested? Read our brand new interview with two of the band`s members – Cînteu Dennis and Popa Ionuţ (also known as Andu).

GCG: Hello guys! I am going to be brief. What are the components of the band?

CD/PI: Well, there`s Coşniţă Livia, the vocalist, Cîntea Dennis on guitar, Popa Ionuţ on bass, and Pandele Vlad on drums.

GCG: What genre can Spit be identified with? Like, a certain subcategory of rock.

CD/PI: We are an alternative rock band.

GCG: I see. What bands have particularly inspired you?

CD/PI: We have to say Iris and Cargo, and plenty of others.

PI: And also a little bit of Tina Turner.

GCG: How many songs have you released so far? Also, what about the covers?

CD/PI: We`ve been making a lot of covers, but we also have our own songs. Those are yet to be worked out, unfortunately.

GCG: Interesting, and where do the rehearsals generally take place?

CD/PI: They take place right here (note: in “Vasile Alecsandri” National College), though we used to rehearse in “The Stage”, in the beginning.

GCG: What do you consider to be your most important performance until now?

CD/PI:  It must be the concert we had at “Balul Bobocilor” organised by our college.

GCG: That`s nice! What motivates you?

CD/PI: Hmm… We have something to say, you know. And we really want to make ourselves heard. That`s it. Still, we don`t want our music to be mercantile.

GCG:  Any future plans or aims?

CD/PI: Our first album is our main aim, and maybe a few more afterwards…

GCG: Oh, so you want a whole discography going on!

CD/PI: Yeah, our first album will probably be a demo, and will most likely come out after we graduate, in 2012. Or perhaps, after we get into the University, who knows.

GCG: Alright guys. Any wishes to the fans?

CD/PI: We would like them to be with us at the concerts and support us!
